Greater Manchester Chartered Accountants, HullJady, launches a budget-friendly cookbook to raise funds for local charity, The Brick.
The Brick works with people across Wigan and Leigh who may be homeless, in poverty, or facing debt crisis and provides a safe, solid building block for people in crisis to begin to construct a new life.
HullJady, with offices in Wigan and Bolton, have been supporters of The Brick since 2018, when the team created the ‘Wonderful World of Wigan’ calendar, following the charity’s first Brick Gala, raising £2K for the charity.
This year, following the 2022 Brick Gala, the staff at HullJady once again decided to create something a little bit different, and this year they wanted to create something that was personal to the whole team. A budget-friendly cookbook, with recipes for all the family to enjoy, was a unanimous choice, and every member of the team got involved.
HullJadys cookbook features twenty-five easy to cook recipes, created by the team, with dishes that can be made by people of all ages and abilities. The cookbooks are available for a suggested minimum donation of £7, and all of the money raised will go directly to The Brick.
Clare Jady, Director at HullJady, said: “We are always happy to support The Brick. It is a great local charity which really makes a difference when people need help. When they asked for fundraising support, we decided to compile a recipe book of recipes our staff really cook, so nothing fancy, just the recipes we turn to time and time again, because our families and friends love them.
“We hope you will find some great new recipes in the book!”
Wendy Doherty, Head of Fundraising and partnerships at The Brick, said: “The Brick’s Galas are all about bringing Wigan and Leigh’s business community together to support The Brick through donations, volunteering, and fundraising campaigns. It is businesses like HullJady that really make a difference to what we do.
“We always look forward to HullJady’s fundraising campaigns as they are a little bit different and are always creative. I have already bought my cookbook and I’ve made some of the delicious recipes. We all hope that the community get on board and support this campaign as every penny raised will help us to continue to support the people we work with.
“We want to thank everyone at HullJady for working with us, and for all the businesses across Wigan and Leigh that support us at The Brick.”
The HullJady cookbooks can be purchased, from December 8, at The Brick’s shop:
