Lane End Group are currently in the midst of delivering 165 brand new homes in Sandbach on behalf of Clarion Housing Group and in December, the registered housing provider approached Lane End to kindly donate 40 brand new flat pack wardrobes to a not-for-profit of their choice. We are delighted to say the not-for-profit selected to receive the wardrobes was The Brick.
Often when vulnerable individuals and families are provided with emergency housing, they are presented with an empty shell with no amenities to make the house feel like a home. This is where charities like The Brick step in to ensure that everyone has essential items required within a home. It is hoped that the donated wardrobes will offer much more than a space to store belongings and will help to bring some comfort to those in the most difficult of situations.
The Brick’s Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator, Jane Webb, said: “We are extremely grateful for the generous donation of 40 brand new wardrobes from Clarion Housing Group and Lane End Group. Over the last 9 months we have donated 165 furniture welfare packages to families and individuals moving into their new accommodation, and for some, it is the first time they have had a place to call home.
“Without the support of businesses such as Lane End Group, we would not be able to help the growing number of people in the North West, who are suffering from poverty or homelessness’.”
Clarion Housing Group’s Community Liaison Manager for the North, Steven Graham said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been able to support The Brick by making a donation of 40 brand new wardrobes. The work that the charity carries out across the North west is truly remarkable providing a number of different services to support some of the most vulnerable individuals in society.
“We are very proud to have been able to play a part in helping to provide essential home items to those who otherwise may have had to go without.”
Kate Harrison, Lane End New Beginnings CEO, added: “Having supported and worked with The Brick previously, we have learnt so much about the many challenges people experience when faced with debt crisis, money struggles and homelessness. Therefore we are delighted that with the donation from Clarion Housing Group we have been able to support The Brick once again to help make a real difference to vulnerable individuals and families in the North West. A massive thank you to Clarion Housing Group for the extremely generous and kind donation.” A huge thank you from everyone at The Brick for this generous donation.
